Hi Rie, thanks for giving us an interview. The first think that I thought when I saw your works was: AMAZING!
Where do you get the inspiration from to create your works?
I get the inspiration of my work it’s from a lot of gurls ofcourse
, my friends, my ex-gurlfriend (icha), cigarattes, a cup of coffee and another artists’ artworks.
How did you learn your technique? You toke a course?
I didn’t take the course, i did it by myself… i was developed the technique when I was using Macromedia Freehand (4 years ago), and then i try to move out to another software. And why I pick Adobe Illustrator? because I think Adobe has much better colours, and i need that. Day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year… I keep to develope and develope until now.
The number of details you add is impressive. How long you spend on one of your art pieces?
At first time i make some artwerk, i need 1-2 days. And until someday i found my own technique and style i can to do it more faster than before. And nowdays i just need 30-40 minute for 1 vector artworks but not include the design composition.
Do you use just Adobe Illustrator?
Yeah, i only use Adobe Illustrator…but still… I use Adobe Photoshop for resizing image
That’s for vector artworks. I do some painting artworks with Adobe Photoshop but not so good.
How long did it take to you to become so good in vector art?
I think and i feel i’m not good enough at vector yet…hahahaha, there’s something much i should to learn. But at least i do better now from 4 years ago.
What is the secret of your technique? I mean, what would you suggest to someone that is approaching vector art?
The Shadows…and The Colours ~ that’s the vital point at vector arts (In My Opinion)
What is the most complicated part of the body to draw? Or if you prefer, where do you spend more time for the illustration?
Hmmm… Hair i think
hehehe…
How about the colors? How can you select such smooth harmonies? Every color, mostly the gradients, seems to be accurately choose. Is it? You have a color scheme to follow?
I never think about accurately about this. But i follow my sense and feeling. And yes! i use my sense and feeling colour scheme ![]()
What about your next illustration will be? Any celebrity ahead? What are your plans for the future?
My next artworks it will be a few of celebrities, new volunteer models, photograph by my friends who works as photographer and many more
My plan at future is i raise up my studio, raise up my eel-fish business hahaha :), and i want to be a famous artists like Ida Belogi. Check out some of her works.
Thanks for your time and for letting us publishing some of your masterpiece.
Well, the one who should say “thanks” it’s me ~ I’am so glad, and once again i say “Thank You Very Much”.
